Noach is based on the priniple of Ambiophonics, an advanced DSP algorithm herebye available on personal computers. The sonic improvements compared to traditional stereo and surround are often immediately audible. While stereo will tend to limit the soundstage in between the speakers, Noach is stepping past this boundary, literally filling the room with a holographic and ambient soundstage, if allowed for by the quality of the recording.
A major feature of Ambiophonics is the reduction of crosstalk; an unpleasant effect always present when listening on stereo loudspeakers. Crosstalk adds a kind of artificial noise that masks out the fine sonic details of the sound, causing a perceived lack of natural timbre and realism. Thus, as the sound stream is filtered through Noach with Ambiophonics, the listening experience will be more authentic and accurate; simply more true to the original recording.
It can be quite convincing to try Noach on your own CD, mp3 and DVD collections.
Noach installs easy as a plugin in media players like Windows Media Player, Winamp, Media Monkey, Foobar2000, in the ffdshow codec pack, or as a VST plugin in professional DSP hosts like Reaper and Protools. Noach may easily be configured to serve external HiFi stereo and surround systems.
